Go Caroline!
London Marathon Success for Caroline!
We are delighted to report that our Marathon runner, Caroline Woodward, completed the course on 25 April 2010 in an impressive 4 hours and 45 minutes - an exciting improvement on her 5 hour time in the 2005 Marathon. Not an habitual Marathon runner, Caroline was determined to identify a charity which she could take close to her heart, and we are lucky to have been the chosen ones.
Caroline and her husband James have recently been approved as adoptive parents, and this is what has driven her to raise over £5,000 single-handedly in sponsorship for PAC.
Caroline says:
"I was thrilled with my time; in fact I was just thrilled with finishing full stop! It is definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done but also the most satisfying and I can honestly say that running for adoption helped me get to the finish line. I just kept thinking to myself, keep running, think of the money you have raised and think about the fact that you are running for your children because they are going to be adopted and might need the services of the charity one day!"
