Level Two

LEVEL II STANDARD SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT

All Basic services plus the following:

  • Services for Adoptive Parents
    Pre-adoption consultation – 2 sessions per case (50 minute session)
    Initial parent/s consultation – 1 session per case (90 minute session)
    Follow-up parent/couple consultation – max. 1 session per case (90 minute session)
    OR post-disruption counselling – 2 sessions per case (90 minute sessions)
  • Services for Adult Adoptees

    Face-to-face counselling with experienced adoption counsellor – max. 4 sessions per person (50 minute sessions)
    Intermediary service – max. 4 sessions per person (50 minute sessions)
    Counselling with Post-Adoption Centre trainee counsellor – up to eighteen sessions per person (50 minute sessions). After four sessions a small contribution is required.

  • Services for Birth Parents/families

    Birth parents' pre- and post-adoption counselling – max. 4 sessions per individual (50-minute sessions) or 2 sessions per couple (90 minute sessions)
    Birth mothers fortnightly drop-in support group
    Birth relative-initiated contact – up to 4 counselling sessions per individual (searching not included - an hourly charge will be made for search work)
    Consultation/counselling for grandparents or birth relatives – max. 4 sessions per case (50 minute sessions)
    Counselling with Post-Adoption Centre trainee counsellor – up to eighteen sessions per person (50 minute sessions). After four sessions a small contribution is required.

  • Services for Children and Families

    Child therapy sessions – max. 4 sessions per child (50 minute session) or
    Child advocate and support around contact – max. 2 sessions per child (50 minute sessions). Where a home visit is required or the child needs to be seen within their local authority, travel time and expenses will be charged.
    Initial family consultation – max. 1 session per family (120 minute session)

    OR

    Post disruption counselling – max. 2 sessions per family (120 minute session)
    Parenting Skills course at reduced rate
    Free access to groups for adolescents
    50% discount for Black & Multi-Racial families.

  • Services for Professionals

    Professional consultation (120 minutes per session)
    Access to PACTS course for counsellors and social workers
    Access to group skills training for professionals
    Access to pre- and post-adoption training on a range of topics
    Access to Post-Adoption Centre secondee scheme (place allocated on interview)
    One complimentary place on one workshop or seminar (for professional or non-professionals)
