Statement about my practice: What I do and how I work

I run successful private practises at London Bridge, in North London and Luton. In addition to both counselling and Sand play therapy and clinical supervision qualifications, I have an MA in Transpersonal Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy.
I work with families or individuals with adoption issues; helping to facilitate the formation of a corrective attachment experience for clients and families struggling with severe attachment difficulties; bereavement, separation and loss; traumas; relationships and identity issues; I am experienced in running groups for trans-racially adopted young people and providing training to Local Authorities on Attachment, Adoption, Race and Identity issues and Prep. groups.  I have worked with children with behavioural difficulties for over 11 years and with adopted children and their families in PAC’s Child and Family Service therapeutic team since 2003.  I also work with ADHD pupils and the difficult child in the classroom in two Luton schools.

I am a Black Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Trainer.  I work with different therapeutic approaches; offering humanistic, psycho-dynamic, transpersonal and trans-cultural perspectives which consider the problems individuals face at any given time as an opportunity for growth.  I work with a diverse group of clients on a variety of issues.  I use a variety of techniques: talking, working with dreams, painting, drawing and sand trays to help clients identify and develop their inner qualities needed in their particular situation.
